Memcached in Shared Hosting
You can use the Memcached caching system with all shared hosting that we offer. It’s offered as an optional upgrade, which you can add with only a couple of clicks of the mouse from your Hepsia website hosting Control Panel. It needs an extension, which is pre-installed on our cloud platform, so you can start using the Memcached caching system as soon as you add it. The upgrade is separated into two parts, which will offer you more flexibility depending on the Internet sites that you would like to use it for. The first part reveals the number of the websites that will use the Memcached caching system, or the ‘instances’, while the second one is related to the system memory, i.e. to how much content the system will be able to cache. You can add more system memory in increments of 16 MB and the more memory you’ve added, the more content will be cached, which may be a rather good idea for regularly visited sites with large databases and plenty of users. Thus, you can enhance the speed of every script-driven Internet site hosted on our servers without effort.
Memcached in Semi-dedicated Servers
If you decide to host your sites in a semi-dedicated server account, you can take advantage of Memcached with ease, since the distributed memory caching platform’s activation requires a few mouse clicks from the Hepsia Control Panel. The required PHP extension is already installed on our semi-dedicated servers, so you can start using the Memcached platform the moment you add it to your semi-dedicated server account. You will be able to choose how many websites can use it and how much content it will cache, in other words – there are two different features that can be upgraded – the instances and the amount of system memory. You can add more of both, so if one of your sites becomes very busy, for example, you can always order more memory. Our system is unbelievably flexible in this regard and we do not bind a particular number of instances to a fixed amount of memory. You can use the Memcached caching platform to accelerate any script-driven website, including those that are based on famous Internet applications, such as WordPress or Joomla™.
Memcached in VPS Servers
If you get a VPS server from our company, you’ll be able to use Memcached at no additional charge, as the object caching platform is available with all virtual machines that are ordered with the Hepsia Control Panel. Even if you own content-rich sites, you can boost their overall performance without effort and the lowered load on your virtual server will permit you to continue using your current VPS plan rather than moving to a more powerful one. The amount of system memory that the Memcached platform can use to store content depends on the plan that you are using, but even with a less powerful one, you will have at least several hundred MB, which is significantly more than what you’d get with a shared plan, so the website performance boost will be tremendous. You can take advantage of Memcached with any database-driven web application, regardless of whether you have developed it on your own or you are using a ready-made one like OpenCart, WordPress or Joomla™.
Memcached in Dedicated Servers
When you obtain one of our dedicated servers and if you pick Hepsia as your website hosting Control Panel at signup, you’ll get the Memcached platform by default and you can use it with any site that you host on the dedicated machine without upgrading or installing anything. It will begin storing content as people visit your Internet site, so you’ll see the result of using it shortly thereafter. The minimum amount of system memory that will be available to the Memcached caching platform is 3 gigabytes and naturally, the more powerful the plan, the more system memory Memcached will have at its disposal. This amount will allow you to take advantage of the platform for multiple sites or for a very heavy Internet site without weakening its efficacy. The Memcached caching platform will permit you to boost the load speed of any database-driven website in no time – a Joomla™ portal, a WordPress online diary, an OpenCart e-store, etc., and to enhance the performance of your server.
